REASON 4.0

It is better that 3.5 for sure. It has a thor synth that can kick out some sweet sounds. thor is basically a mix between your nn-xt and a malstrom. I might actually start using reason 4 to assemble my trax because the bottom arranger won't just end like in 3.5

There are already a gob of presets for thor and other 4.0 compatible rack-thinggys.

i upgraded to 4.0 right when it came out. i think the advancements made are huge! thor and the new sequencer (pure awsomeness)! if this program only would allow direct audio imput. i think this would one of the best music-software out there!

I use it too. Ive been waiting for the VSTI support but it never came and it will never come. So now ill just change to Cubase 4.0 Studio. Think ill be able to pick it up at the store by this weekend.

i use reason 4 because it is simple an effective to create sounds..........mastering and editing is an rewire-thing....

the only thing is so......the exported waves are to quiet....and too unclear...

i seperate to master in ableton live over rewire.......cubase4 is alsogood..maybe i buy it onetime.....

if u rewire reason through ableton, you are using ableton sound platform.

I know reason is powerfull. My next release is 100% reason.

The effects aint just as good and u are stuck with the same synths. I love the subtractor though.

I read about wavs not bieng loud enough. Put a maximizer over the master, and its fixed (if the mix is right).

yes, but then you are giving a less headroom for an engineer.
the more headroom and dynamic in general is available the more efficient the track can be mastered. personally i dont like efx over master channel.but if it sounds good why not ;)
but i really like some Reason features.especially routing freedom and yeah there are some really nice synths
