Mastering help

hey everyone.

i am an amatuer producer, so natuerally, i am even more amatuer at mastering, i have almost no idea how to master properly and make a song sound good.

Does anyone have any help, tips or pointers they could tell me?

i am trying to do productions at the moment!
trying to make new songs and stuff ;)

i use fruit loop and Sonic Acid Pro 4.0

Could you help me with fruit loop ??
or do you know any other software that might be useful ?

The best thing to do is concentrate on your mix down first. No amount of mastering prowess will help you if the mix down is not of a high standard.

Spend some time learning about levelling, dynamics, EQ and the stereo field and how they inter-relate. This will make a much larger difference than mastering,
